Pacific Northwest Native Plants

Working with PNW native plants is where it all starts for us. The plants that surround us in the mountains, forests, river valleys, and along the coast are what roots us in this wonderful place. They offer familiar food and shelter for the wild friends we share this habitat with, and they’re well adapted to our unique climate and soil conditions. They can also provide us with an astonishing amount of food and medicine.

We carry a large selection of the most common native plants, as well as our favorites that are a little harder to find. We put a special focus on the medicinal properties they offer.

We’re always excited to tour folks around our space, answer questions, and give advice on selecting the right plants for your particular area.

While our space doesn’t allow us to carry every variety of native tree, we’re happy to arrange special orders. Let us know what you’re looking for and we’ll bring it in.

Edibles and Medicinals

We carry a full selection of vegetable, and culinary and medicinal herb starts during the planting season. In general, we start getting cool season starts in Febuary with warm season varieties following in April, depending on the weather.

We have a nice selection of fruiting shrubs and trees, focusing on plants that are sure to thrive in our bio-region. Fruit trees can be a lot of work so our intention is to offer ones that will be successful – Figs, plums, and olives are our favorites.

Several varieties of blueberries are available, as well as raspberries, strawberries, hardy kiwi, grapes, and a variety of currants.

Plants for making medicine and tea are a passion of ours. We carry a huge selection of annual and perennial plants to incorporate into your diet to keep you in good health.

Gardening Tools & Supplies

It takes more than just plants to maintain a healthy garden. We carry tools, plant supports and protection, irrigation supplies, and organic pesticides and fertilizers to help care for your plant friends.

Our bulk section has cover crop seeds and natural fertilizing minerals to deliver essential nutrients for plant growth, while maintaining the health of your soil.

Outdoor Ornamentals

While our focus is on native, medicinal, and edible plants, we have an ever-expanding selection of our favorite ornamental flowers, grasses, ferns, shrubs, and small trees on hand. These plants are great for providing some extra attractions for pollinators and other beneficial insects. They can also add contrasts and complements in size, color, texture, and seasonal interest to our gardens.

Container Gardens

For the space-limited gardener, there are still plenty of opportunities to grow beautiful outdoor plants. We offer planters and hanging baskets in a variety of sizes, colors, and materials and can help you choose the right plants for your porch or balcony. Plants for tea, vegetables, small shrubs, and flowers are all great options for adding color and life to your balcony, porch, or patio.
